My Cruising Must Pack Items

Hey Y'all!

If you haven't already heard we're going on a cruise for my 28th birthday! I am literally so excited to be in vacay mode you have no idea. I am so ready to let down my hair, soak in some vitamin C and enjoy some R&R in the islands!

I put a question box on my Instagram stories and one of the requests for our upcoming cruise was to share what I am packing & what are some of my must bring cruise items! This is our 5th cruise as a couple so I think I have packing for these babies down to a T.

Keep reading to find out what my MUST HAVE items are. Even if you aren't going on a cruise these are also beneficial items to have on any vacation!

Packing cubes ARE LIFE! Within the past year I've started using them and now I don't pack without them! They make packing SO ORGANIZED and honestly it's the only way to pack! You can put them right into the dresser without "fully" unpacking.. and they really give you more space in your luggage.

I've even got Kyle hooked on them too... and trust me we were both skeptical at first!

If you haven't seen pictures or me talking about these super cute pouches then you are missing out! They are the best things ever for the rest of what you're packing! Toiletries, undergarments, skincare, makeup, all your techie stuff!

There is a pouch for EVERYTHING! They come in three sizes ... mini, small and large and they are completely customizable with the cutest patches!

The hanging toiletry bag is MONEY especially on a cruise because it keeps those TINY bathrooms super organized! I like to keep my skincare, toothbrush and toothpaste and whatever essentials I need for the bathroom in here. It's a one stop shop!

If you pack ONE thing for a cruise ... besides a bikini ... you have to pack these! It is WINDY on cruises and trust me those towels will fly away! These towel clips are affordable and a MUST HAVE.

5. Sol De Janeiro My Sol Stick - SPF 50

This SPF stick was my favorite new item I tested out on my last cruise ... it is so easy to pack, carry around and apply. You just roll the stick around on your face, lips or wherever and it really keeps you from burning!

I used this on our last cruise AND at the lake when we were spending ALL day on the boat and both times I didn't burn because it was so easy to get out of my clutch, reapply then throw back in there!

Also, if you haven't smelled the Sol De Janeiro items then you're really missing out because it smells SO GOOD.

Let's face it ... you're probably going to get burned. You're skin is going to NEED that extra moisture especially your face! The Summer Fridays mask is already packed and ready to go in my travel bag for ANY trip I take so of course it's coming with me on our cruise!

Just got this bad boy in and I am obsessed! Stoney Clover products are so stunning and wonderful quality! I'm not normally a huge beach bag person but this one is so versatile and doesn't really SCREAM beach bag (to me at least) I can definitely see myself using this more than just at the beach.

I also got my bag customized with my initials!

Another GREAT SPF product! I hate putting oily sunscreen on my face ... it makes me feel icky! So this is a translucent powder (also comes in tinted colors) and you just put it on your face and it protects your skin from the sun and keeps the oily look way down!

It is SO easy to reapply just like the Sol De Janeiro stick! And we all know just how important taking care of your skin and being proactive against sun damage!

Now here's the SPF for your lips! It's like a hydrating lip gloss that also protects your lips from the sun! I know for me when I get too much sun I get fever blisters! This is a great way to prevent those pesky little things!

An insulated cup is a great idea to bring on a cruise because you can put your drinks in there and they ACTUALLY stay cold in that hot heat. The cups the cruise line puts your drink in is not insulated so you're drink will be watered down in no time!

Another great idea is a reusable straw (plastic or steel) because save the sea turtles and all they have is paper straws on board (EW)

11. Luggage Tag Holders

With these plastic/steel ring luggage tag holders you can rest assured your luggage tag won't be ripped off resulting in your luggage being lost! These things are worth every penny!

12. Sunglasses (DUH)
Pair One | Pair Two | Pair Three | Pair Four

I mean obviously! But I thought I would add it on here because it's such an easy item to forget at home! Sure they will probably have some for you to snag on the cruise if you forget yours but who wants to buy it on there when you have perfectly good pairs at home!

I would also suggest not bringing ALL designer pairs! When I'm at the beach I prefer cheaper brand sunglasses so they don't get all scratched up by the salt and sand!

Trust me I've made that mistake before!!

13. Bathing Suit Cover Ups

Coverup One | Coverup Two | Coverup Three

Another DUHHHH ... but who doesn't love a cute coverup! I ordered the first two for this upcoming cruise! They are great quality and super affordable!

That's all folks! Hope this blog post helps you pack for your upcoming cruise/or warm weather vacation! If you have any questions feel free to reach out!

XOXO,

Haylie
